Hello, everyone, and welcome to Mr Death Pool 2009:
Bookmark this address on your computer for easy access: http://mrdeathpool2009.blogspot
I believe we have: Mark, Sandy, Sherry, Roland, Matt....I guess it is the same people as last year.
29Dec08: I have a list from Matt Hanks, and Mark Ewing. We have until 31Dec08 before the names are locked in and published. Get $10 to me eventually, but there is no hurry on the money right now.
A few other notes: remember, we need 20 names. It doesn't matter if the same name appears on different lists, each list would get points. The scoring is simple: 100 minus the person's age when they died. There is a 10-pt bonus for having the first person of the year to die, as well as the last person of the year to die.
Any questions, feel free to zap me at Devoboygo@yahoo.com
Good luck, Mark Ewing

For some reason, one name keeps popping into my head: Sid Caesar...bright future, or just another oldie...you decide. Probably not even worth the points (birthdate according to Wikipedia: September 8, 1922.
ReplyDeleteNow...here's an outside possibility: Jenna Jameson (star of "Zombie Strippers", as well as other 'film' roles). I'm guessing that "Zombie Strippers" is not going to garner any Golden Globes (no pun intended). Could this be another "Heath Ledger" in waiting...(Jenna Jameson: April 9, 1974 as per Wikipedia).
ReplyDeleteWell, things don't look good for Fidel "lefty" Castro, who was a no-show at the 50th anniversary of 'his' revolution. Also, you probably wouldn't get many points, but leaders of Hamas would probably be prime candidates at the moment (shots in the dark?).
ReplyDeleteToday, a few names came to mind: Candice Bergen (May 9, 1946), Arnold Schwarzenegger (July 30, 1947), Chuck Barris (June 3, 1929) and (drum-roll...): Rod Blagojevich (December 10, 1956, and today's "sleeper selection"). And, today's "No surprise there" selection: Keith Richards (18 December 1943).
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Scientology, with John Travolta's loss, could there be more than remorse in the coming days? JT: (born February 18, 1954). Maybe the reincarnation of Xenu (wasn't that the warrior princess?). Maybe the reincarnation of Stan Marsh? Who can say (certainly not us...we don't want the Scietology lawyers suing us).
